Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum has selected Deputy Chief Dennis Larsen, a 45-year Tulsa Police Department veteran, as the city's next police chief, succeeding retiring Chief Wendell Franklin. Larsen, who currently oversees the Investigations Bureau, will work alongside Franklin for the next two months before taking up the position on August 1.
