Portage couple Nick and Rachel Bryant, who began adopting a 10-year-old Haitian boy, Dieumi, in 2020, urge the US Department of State to expedite the adoption process due to Haiti's ongoing civil unrest and gang violence. They request humanitarian parole for Dieumi and 70 other Haitian children who have been adopted but are unable to enter the US. Senators Gary Peters and Debbie Stabenow support the couple.
