2 men charged with smuggling people into the US from Canada via freight trains.
2 men, Jesus Ortiz-Plata (45) of Independence, OR, and Juan Pablo Cuellar Medina (35) of Everett, WA, were charged with smuggling people into the US from Canada on freight trains. They were arrested on May 23 with three non-citizens who had been smuggled into the US. The US Attorney's Office reported the arrests, following a long investigation by Homeland Security.
