Lakefront Brewery signs intent to acquire Kenosha's Public Craft Brewing Co., expanding operations and retaining the brand.

Lakefront Brewery, Milwaukee's top craft brewer, has signed a letter of intent to acquire Kenosha's Public Craft Brewing Co., expanding their operations and retaining the Public brand's reputation. The Public Brewing facility is in a historical building with recently updated brewing equipment, and the two breweries share a beer distributor, CJW. Lakefront plans to honor all Public Brewing gift cards and deposits and interview the current staff for employment. The acquisition comes as a result of Public Brewing's ownership retirement.
