Essex Fire crews rescued six horses and extinguished a stable fire at Curtis Mill Green, Navestock, at 5:09am yesterday. The blaze was caused by an electrical fault. Water supply was an issue, but Ongar's crew pumped water from a pond to help extinguish the fire. Crews from Loughton and Ongar attended the scene, with Watch Manager Gary Dyer praising their efforts in stopping the fire from spreading.
