Cat rescued after days on Kern County power pole. A cat stranded on a 50ft power pole in Kern County was rescued by a team effort involving Kern County Animal Services and Pacific Gas and Electric Company. The feline, named Electra, had been on the pole for days and was safely secured and brought down by PG&E crewmembers. Electra is available for adoption on Saturday at the shelter on 3951 Fruitvale Avenue.
