Beaufort city appoints Stephenie Price as its new police chief after a nationwide search. Interim chief since January, Price previously served as Chief of Police for Bluffton and Assistant Police Chief in Savannah. She will be sworn in on May 31 and plans to focus on community engagement, communication, enhanced training, mental health support, and active listening to community concerns.
