Unknown terracotta bust of Filippo Brunelleschi, architect of Florence Cathedral's dome, discovered after 700 years. Found in an historic residence near the Tuscan capital, the bust was sculpted by Brunelleschi's adopted son, Andrea di Lazzaro Cavalcanti, in early 1447 and considered exceptional for its artistic value and rarity of depictions of the architect around his death in 1446.
