29-year-old Marcus Valliant was killed in a pedestrian-involved crash in Carbondale on May 22, after being struck by a vehicle. Valliant was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, but died the next day. The driver of the vehicle stopped, called 911, and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation. The Carbondale Police Department stated that Valliant walked into the roadway and was struck by the oncoming vehicle.
