27-year-old Jade Dempsey, mother of murdered toddler Ali Jayden Doyle, admitted a charge of child cruelty at Belfast Crown Court. Dempsey left her daughter in the care of on/off boyfriend Darryn John Armstrong, who was later sentenced to life in prison for murdering the child. Dempsey's charge will not proceed, with the court accepting her guilty plea.
