50-year-old businessman Peter Virdee, known as Hardip Singh, charged with bribing Antiguan politician Michael Asot during his tenure as tourism minister.

50-year-old businessman Peter Virdee, also known as Hardip Singh, has been charged with bribing Antiguan politician Michael Asot while he was the minister for tourism in Antigua and Barbuda between January 2015 and July 2017. Virdee, who runs a £4 billion B&S Property group in Mayfair, London, and PV Energy Limited, faces further charges of bribery at Southwark Crown Court on 20 June. The charges were brought by the National Crime Agency.
