New York State Supreme Court fines David Tulley $15.25M for operating unlicensed cannabis shops and selling to minors.
New York State Supreme Court Justice fined David Tulley, owner of seven unlicensed cannabis shops, $15.25 million for operating without a license and selling cannabis to underage customers. The fine includes 90% of Tulley's gross sales from February 2022 to May 2023, as well as a $10,000 penalty for each day he operated without licenses. New York has faced challenges in addressing the thousands of unlicensed retailers that emerged after legal cannabis sales began in the state in late 2022.
