4th-grade student at Sugar Mill Elementary in Port Orange, Florida died after being hit by a vehicle near the school entrance on Friday morning. The girl, who was in a crosswalk, was taken to a hospital but didn't survive. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Grief counselors have been deployed to the school to assist the staff and students.
