Singapore's manufacturing output fell 1.6% year-on-year in April, narrowing from a 9.2% contraction in March, according to data from the Economic Development Board. Biomedical manufacturing production contracted 29.1%, mainly due to a 54.6% decline in the pharmaceuticals segment. Conversely, transport engineering output increased 10.6% and general manufacturing production grew 7.3% in April.
