Researchers at the University of Cambridge developed an eco-friendly method to print electronic 'spider silk' sensors directly onto skin, inspired by spider silk's ability to conform to various surfaces. These low-waste, low-emission sensors, 50 times smaller than a human hair, could be used in diverse fields like healthcare, virtual reality, electronic textiles, and environmental monitoring. The flexible fibers expose sweat pores when printed on human skin and can potentially be used as continuous health monitors.
