The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has added a traditional Indigenous ribbon skirt to its uniform, as announced by its commissioner, Mike Duheme, on social media. The addition of the ribbon skirt is aimed at demonstrating the RCMP's commitment to reconciliation, equity, diversity, and inclusion, as well as building bridges with Indigenous communities. Officers have also been allowed to incorporate eagle feathers and the Métis sash into their uniforms.
