Katsina State Police in Nigeria arrested a 4-person POS fraud syndicate who swapped victims' POS machines with counterfeits, stealing N4.76m ($11,840) from five victims, mostly business owners. The suspects, aged 20-28, were arrested on May 12, 2024, and have confessed to their crimes. Additionally, the police have made progress in arresting a suspected armed robber targeting commercial tricycle riders and another suspect in connection with a rape case involving a 16-year-old girl.
