Maryland State Police boost patrols & enforcement on impaired, aggressive, & distracted driving from Fri-Mon during Memorial Day weekend to reduce alcohol-related injuries & fatalities. State troopers from 23 barracks will conduct saturation patrols, with nearly 44m people expected to travel, a 4% increase from 2023. The Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration's Highway Safety Office funds these efforts.
