Los Angeles firefighters extinguished a fire at the historic Crouch Memorial Church of God and Christ in South Los Angeles, built in 1896. The church was initially a Haven Methodist Episcopal congregation and later sold to the Beth Eden Baptist Temple. A fire in 2013 had damaged the attic and roof. Firefighters took 38 minutes to control the flames, and no injuries were reported.
