A 145-pound black bear was severely injured and had to be euthanized after colliding with a pickup truck on WIS 82 in Vernon County, Wisconsin, on May 23. The collision occurred at around 10 p.m. near Pine Avenue when the left side of a loaded trailer attached to the pickup truck hit the bear. The driver, a 27-year-old from La Farge, was traveling east on WIS 82. The trailer sustained minor damage.
