Kyrgyzstan's National Security Committee Chairman, Kamchybek Tashiyev, warns that the growing number of terrorist groups in northern Afghanistan threatens the security of the Commonwealth of Independent States' (CIS) southern borders. Speaking at a security meeting in Bishkek, Tashiyev stated that international terrorist organizations and their sponsors seek to exploit global social and political tensions to achieve their strategic goals.
