Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) seeks to have its budget allocation capped at a minimum of 2% of total targeted revenue collection each financial year, arguing that lower percentages hinder execution of their mandate. Current budgetary constraints have led to KRA's accumulation of pending bills worth KSh9.45bn. KRA's Commissioner General Humphrey Wattanga has emphasized the need for this funding requirement to be anchored in law.
