Rescue canine Kodi, star of the film "Dog on Trial", has won the top prize at the Cannes Film Festival. Kodi, a griffon mix, beat the sighthound Xin, who won the Grand Jury Prize for her role in the Chinese drama "Black Dog." The Palm Dog awards, which honor canines who appear in films, are not officially part of the Cannes Film Festival but have been held on its Croisette beachfront.
