Ghana's Housing Minister evaluated the National Homeownership Fund (NHF) pilot phase, aiming to expand affordable housing to public and private sector workers.
Ghana's Housing Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, held discussions with local banks to evaluate the outcomes of the National Homeownership Fund (NHF) pilot phase. The NHF aims to provide affordable housing solutions for citizens, particularly low-income families, by offering financial assistance and support. The pilot phase collaborated with local banks to underwrite local currency mortgages for public sector workers and provide construction finance to developers. The successful pilot phase will now be expanded to benefit both public and private sector workers across Ghana, with the aim of enabling more citizens to access affordable mortgage rates and achieve homeownership.
