Former Sumter County detention officer Carrie Joiner arrested, charged with improper sexual conduct and violation of oath.
Former Sumter County detention officer Carrie Joiner has been arrested and charged with improper sexual conduct and violation of oath of office after turning herself in to law enforcement. The Sumter County Sheriff's Office conducted criminal and internal investigations and terminated her employment. This is the second arrest involving a Sumter County Jail employee this week.
