Batemans Bay High School held a cultural burn in its Indigenous garden on May 22, uniting Indigenous students, teachers from the Indigenous learning centre, and community elders. The Walbunja Rangers, who previously helped six students get their Certificate III in Indigenous Land Management, guided the event. Elders from Batemans Bay to Mogo have been weekly visitors since mid-2023, supporting the school's Indigenous community.
