Australia has officially listed the Yemeni armed group Ansar Allah, also known as the Houthis, as a terrorist organization. Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus announced the decision, stating that the group has been involved in attacks on ships, hostage-taking, and the killing of civilians in the Red Sea. The move makes Ansar Allah the 30th group to be listed as a terrorist organization under Australia's criminal code.
