17-year-old homicide suspect, initially shot by Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) on May 14, died in hospital. The suspect was a person of interest in multiple homicides and reportedly pulled out a firearm when approached by police. After multiple requests to drop the weapon, the suspect fired his gun, prompting an LMPD officer to fire one round. LMPD plans to release body camera footage within 10 business days.
