22-year-old Grantville man, Derrious Bernard Daniel, has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for the February 2023 felony murder of Dustin Scott Parrott during a botched drug deal in Newnan, Coweta County. Daniel was convicted of armed robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, three counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was also sentenced to 20 years in prison for each of the aggravated assault charges.
