The WNBA is officially expanding to Toronto and will introduce a new team in the 2026 season. The team will be owned by Kilmer Sports Ventures, led by Larry Tanenbaum, who is also the chairman and a minority owner of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment. The new team will play at the 8,700-seat Coca-Cola Coliseum and may occasionally move to the Scotiabank Arena. Toronto's WNBA team is set to begin play in the 2026 season, with games potentially hosted in Vancouver and Montreal throughout the season.
