WestJet introduces ultra-low fare category for carry-on bag-free travel within weeks.
WestJet plans to introduce a new cheaper fare category within "a couple of weeks" for travellers willing to fly without a carry-on bag. The "ultra-low" price offering aims to appeal to those seeking the lowest fares while also freeing up overhead bin space for other passengers. Those purchasing the cheapest fare won't be able to put a bag in the overhead bins, but will still be allowed to store a knapsack or purse under the seat in front of them.
