Vancouver Canucks' coach Rick Tocchet has won the Jack Adams Award as the NHL's Coach of the Year for his first full season with the team. Tocchet led the Canucks to a 50-23-9 record, helping the team secure home-ice advantage for the first two rounds of the playoffs. This is the third time in history that a Vancouver Canucks coach has received the Jack Adams Award, following Pat Quinn in 1992 and Alain Vigneault in 2007.
