The US Commerce Department has granted $75 million to South Korea's SKC Co. affiliate, Absolics Inc., for building a new facility in Georgia. Funded under the CHIPS and Science Act, the 120,000 sq ft facility will create 410 jobs and supply advanced materials to the US semiconductor industry. Absolics' glass substrate technology allows for faster, more efficient computing devices by packaging processing and memory chips into a single device.
