Women and people of color are driving top streaming film viewer ratings, according to a UCLA Hollywood Diversity Report. Women comprised the majority of viewers for nine of the top 10 streaming films in 2023, while households of color were overrepresented as viewers for nine of the top 10. Although women and people of color continue to face limited resources behind the camera, they represent proportionate representation in terms of total cast on screen.
