Nova Scotia RCMP to apologize for past street checks and interactions with Black communities, presenting an action plan on Sept 7.
The Nova Scotia RCMP plans to deliver an apology to Black communities for past street checks and detrimental interactions with African Nova Scotians. After 13 consultative meetings, an action plan has been drafted for addressing these issues, which will be presented to communities before the apology on September 7. The apology will be live-streamed to other communities in the province.
