Nigerian House of Representatives passes bill to revert national anthem to "Nigeria, We Hail Thee".

The Nigerian House of Representatives passed a bill to revert the country's national anthem back to its original version, "Nigeria, We Hail Thee", from the current anthem "Arise, O Compatriots". The bill, sponsored by House Leader, Julius Ihonvbere, passed its second and third readings on the House floor in Abuja. The proposed legislation aims to restore the old national anthem, which has been replaced in recent years.
