New Mexico man, Jonathan Barajas Nava, faces federal charges for allegedly trying to burn down Retreat Church and Yucaipa Christian Preschool in California, where 48 children and 14 staff members were present at the time. He is also accused of attempting to set fire to a strip mall. Nava faces two charges of attempted destruction of property by means of fire, with a possible sentence of between 5 and 40 years in federal prison if convicted.
