Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) lifts lane restrictions on 55% of ongoing construction projects for Memorial Day weekend, as AAA predicts over 1.3 million Michiganders to travel 50 miles or more from home, a 4% increase from last year. 85 out of 154 projects have restrictions removed from 3 p.m. May 24 to 6 a.m. May 28. While lane restrictions are lifted, certain traffic configurations may remain.
