Met concertmaster David Chan has been named principal conductor of Washington DC's Apollo Orchestra. He is currently in his 24th season as concertmaster of New York's MET Orchestra and has also been appointed director of Chicago's new Credo Festival. Chan will officially join Apollo Orchestra on June 2, working alongside musicians to bring high-quality music to the Washington D.C. area.
