MahaRERA suspends registration of 20,000 real estate brokers in Maharashtra due to non-compliance.

Maharashtra's real estate regulator, MahaRERA, has suspended the registration of 20,000 real estate brokers, leaving only 13,000 registered agents in the state. The agents had failed to fulfill the conditions laid down by the housing regulator, including undergoing training, clearing an examination, and registering their certificate of competency. MahaRERA began registering middlemen for property transactions in 2017.
