Ipswich police launched Operation Shield to target high-risk domestic and family violence (DFV) offenders, using local and specialist officers to reduce DFV offending since its launch in mid-April. As part of Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month, police have arrested and charged 14 high-risk offenders with serious offences including stalking, assault, and contravention of domestic violence orders. The operation aims to reduce DFV harm and raise awareness of coercive control in the region.
