Former teenage speedway racing champion Tyler King has been jailed for six years and nine months after he killed his sister's abusive boyfriend, Jesse Tattersall, in excessive self-defence. The Newcastle Supreme Court heard that King had walked in on Tattersall assaulting his sister and pleaded guilty to manslaughter. King's parole eligibility is from July 2027.
