Former Nigerian police officer DCP Abba Kyari granted a two-week bail with N50m bond and sureties for drug-related charges.

A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted former Nigerian police officer DCP Abba Kyari a two-week bail after two years in detention for drug-related charges. Kyari's bail conditions include a N50 million bond and two sureties in the same amount. He will deposit his international passport with the court and report to the nearest NDLEA formation during the period of his bail. The bail application will be determined on May 31. Kyari's mother, Mama Yachilla Kyari, passed away while he was in detention.
