11-fold higher psychotic disorder risk in teen cannabis users, per study led by U of Toronto in Psychological Medicine.

The research, led by the University of Toronto, is the first to show an age-dependent association between self-reported cannabis use and subsequent psychotic disorder diagnosis. The findings suggest that the association between cannabis and psychotic disorders may be stronger than previously thought, potentially due to the increased potency of modern cannabis.
