Finnish mycoprotein startup Enifer secures €36M funding for world's first commercial fungal protein factory. The factory, set to be completed by end-2025, will convert food industry by-products into Enifer's sustainable PEKILO fungi-based protein ingredients, marking the first commercial plant to produce mycoprotein from sidestream raw materials. The €33M site aims to address global protein demand with a low carbon footprint and minimal land and water requirements.
