Congress leader Rahul Gandhi vows to scrap Agniveer military recruitment scheme if INDIA bloc comes to power.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has vowed to scrap the Agniveer military recruitment scheme if the INDIA bloc, a coalition of opposition parties, comes to power. Speaking in Haryana, Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narenda Modi of turning India's soldiers into laborers and claimed that the Agniveer scheme, introduced by the Modi government, was not an Army-instigated initiative but rather a plan concocted by the Prime Minister's Office. Gandhi also criticized the Modi government for not waiving farmers' debts while waiving loans for top industrialists, and promised that when the INDIA bloc forms the government, they will waive farmers' debts and implement a 'karza maafi' commission.
