Chippewa Valley Health Cooperative plans to build a new 60-70 bed community hospital in Eau Claire or Chippewa counties to address healthcare gaps left by HSHS/Prevea's exit from western Wisconsin. The hospital, which will be a 501c3 nonprofit, will be governed and managed by a local board of directors elected by community members of the cooperative. The co-op expects to confirm its location by August.
