China's coast guard conducted a law-enforcement drill near Wuqiu and Dongyin islands, testing its fleet's capabilities in joint maritime patrol and emergency response. The drill took place in waters near the islands, which are situated within the Taiwan Strait. The coast guard fleet is from Fujian province in East China. A spokesperson for the China Coast Guard, Gan Yu, made the announcement.
