ASML and Eindhoven University of Technology jointly invest €180 million in semiconductor research over a decade.
ASML, the world's largest chip-making equipment supplier, and Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) have announced a joint €180 million ($195 million) investment over the next decade for semiconductor research. ASML will invest €80 million, while TU/e will invest over €100 million for the cleanroom building and many PhD students. The partnership aims to increase the availability of PhDs in the industry, provide valuable scientific insights, and contribute to training experts in the field, helping to cement Eindhoven's position as a significant semiconductor research hub.
