The Archdiocese of Baltimore finalized a plan to merge 61 parishes into 23, as part of a realignment aimed at addressing aging infrastructure and refocusing resources towards mission and ministry. The move, described by Archbishop William E. Lori as "heart-wrenching but necessary and overdue", will result in 30 worship and ministry sites in Baltimore City and its suburbs.
